"Gus's crew tore the top section of my failing and leaking chimney down to the roof level and built a new one "from the pan up." Now the chimney, with its hard, water struck bricks and beautiful copper (not lead) metalwork will last beyond the next generations' use of the house. They also built that copper-covered "cricket," which is the structure between the roof and the chimney. A cricket diverts water flow and lingering snow melt away from crashing into and residing along the flat face of the chimney and thus adds longevity to the structure. They should have made one when the house was built. Better to repair it to a higher standard than it was originally built, so it will stand as long as the rest of the house does. "We hired ARM Masonry in October 2022. Gus was quick to respond to our inquiry. He evaluated our situation and again was quick to send estimate for the job which ended up to be more involved than we originally planned. We really liked his presentation; he seemed honest, interested, and very knowledgeable . We hired ARM MASONRY to dig up our brick walkway and re-do it, since it was very uneven and bumpy. His crew installed 3 drywalls on our property. In addition the crew demolished our old deck and laid a bluestone patio. We replaced the front step with a bluestone top; and the back step with 2 granite steps. The work was completed very efficiently and with great skill. The quality of the products used were excellent.
